In the studio
The Before
For as long as I can remember, I have always loved to create, especially when it creates an emotional connection. I carried my love for art throughout my schooling career, because I vowed to myself that I would never resent what I do for a living. So I made life choices one at a time thinking about how I could mix what I love and what I am good at. These choices lead me down the path of art in high school and into communication design in university.
The Now
Which has landed me here as a design student working on expanding my skills and experiences through internships and freelance opportunities.
Out the studio
If I’m not designing
Then you’ll probably find me running to clear my head, transporting into a good fantasy book or getting messy with some paint and a canvas.
I believe it’s important to brave being a beginner so I am often finding new projects to experiment with and find new hobbies. But mostly my hobbies are there to create mental balance and challenge me to ‘do hard things’ because nothing grows grit like running a cancelled marathon or filling a giant canvas.
